7 Pallets to Cyprus!

We can’t quite believe it – but we’ve DONE IT 😁😁😁😁. 7, yes 7 pallets packed and wrapped ready to begin their journey to Cyprus tomorrow.

There’s been a few sleepless nights wondering how on earth we’d pull this off but the Newcastle depot ofΒ Doree-Bonner InternationalΒ came to our rescue, offering the space we needed to sort out donations and pack the pallets. We literally couldn’t have done it without them. Or you 😘.

Thank you to each and every one of you who over the last 6Β months have donated to TATT for us to distribute to those we support, and to those who donated for a specific pound or shelter.

This shipment will cost nearly Β£1500, more than we budgeted for but we had so much we wanted as much as possible to go across as we know there is a great need. Although it’s a lot of money, with over Β£2000 worth of food alone, plus at least another Β£1800 worth of items it is worth every penny.

There’s a description below each picture so you can see how much we’re sending to those we support.

Together we make a difference ❀️

4 pallets head off to Cyprus

We did it 😁 We’ve packed four pallets full of dog beds, cages, food, treats and so much more; all ready to be shipped to Cyprus to help support 5 separate dog rescue pounds.

Thank you to each and every person and organisation that donated goods. There are far too many to name – but you know who you are.

Thank you to everyone who made a last minute donation and allowed us to send the 4th pallet. Your generosity means we have started our fund for the next shipment of items to support dog rescue heroes later in the year.

Huge thanks again to Jules and Max of Clutter Mouse who stepped in and helped with the transport which was so desperately needed.

And thank you to Paul and Bob from ProFleece, who once again allowed us to use their premises to pack the pallets, donating the tape and wrap and fleece pieces.

And finally, thank you to John for his support and for putting up with Sue over the last few weeks!

144 dogs queued for the Fun Dog Show

Fun Dog Show – Fun Facts

We love looking through the fun dog show registration papers after the event and hope you enjoy these fun facts:

🐢Total number of dogs registered = 144
🐢There were 37 rescue dogs
🐢There were 38 dogs aged under 1 year; the youngest was a Cockerpoo called Ruby
🐢There were 5 dogs aged over 10; the oldest was a lovely little Jack Russell called Poppy
🐢Poppy was also the most popular name. There were 4 of them
🐢The top three breeds were
12 – Chihuahua
8 – Labrador
7 – Springer Spaniel
🐢We had 25 cross breeds where no specific name was given and an additional 18 named crosses
🐢The most unusual name was Dubhlainn (pronounced Dove-Lin). It is an Irish word meaning Black Sword and belonged to a beautiful Labrador
🐢We had 2 of the most unusual breed – a Finnish Lapphund. These are traditionally used to herd reindeer and they were beautifully represented by 8 month old Aspen and 3 year old Keela

One young lady went away very happy with one more dog than she arrived with ❀️❀️ The best behaved dog of the day – his name was correctly guessed as Rocky by young dog lover Amber.
